AMG DRIVING ACADEMY

Overview

The AMG Driving Academy allows consumers to develop high-performance driving skills in a premier selection of AMG machines, offering six levels of driving programs from learning the fundamentals of driving dynamics to learning the skills required to pursue professional racing. Held at premier racetracks across the country, the AMG Driving Academy hosts more than 2,100 drivers a year in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Our Involvement

  • Overall program management with a dedicated full-time team handling logistics, registration, event services, communications, and reporting

  • Development and creation of curriculum for half-day, full-day, and multi-day programs

  • Development and design of drive course on track and on skid pads

  • Fleet management and service for more than 100 vehicles

  • Staffing of drivers, hospitality, and event producers


Aston Martin Ice Drive - Radius Drive

Aston Martin Ice Drive

Overview

The ultra-luxury winter escape – Aspen – was the ideal backdrop to showcase the exceptional drive performance of the Aston Martin DBX707 in winter drive conditions.  Over the course of three days, registered guests enjoyed a 3-hour experience in the “fastest SUV in the world.”

Guests enjoyed luxury hospitality onsite next to a custom-built snow and ice track when not taking part in one-on-one drive instruction that included 4 drive modules and hot laps.

Our Involvement

  • Overall program management handling all aspects of production including logistics, registration, hospitality, communications, and reporting

  • Development and creation of curriculum for a 3-hour drive experience

  • Development, design and build of snow and ice course

  • Shuttle service logistics and drivers to transport guests from St Regis Hotel to track

  • Staffing of drivers, hospitality, and event producers


McLaren Artura Press Launch

Overview

McLaren held a press launch event for the Artura in Las Vegas where members of the press were invited to experience the luxury performance of the Artura both on the road and on the track.  An appropriate hospitality area was needed at the track to host the press and showcase some of the vehicle assets. 

Our Involvement

  • Design and build of the track hospitality suite including furnishings, A/V and branding

  • Design and production of custom plinths to feature vehicle assets

  • Logistic coordination of vendors for all onsite branded elements

Volkswagen Dealer Meeting Video Production

Overview

Volkswagen wanted to create a jaw-dropping video featuring the new electric compact crossover- VW ID.4, Taos and Atlas Cross Sport, and Atlas Cross Sport Basecamp edition for their annual dealer meeting that was being held virtually due to COVID.  The goal was to create a visually impactful video that not only generated excitement for the design but also demonstrated the vehicle’s dynamic capabilities by showcasing the vehicle in winter driving conditions.  

Our Involvement

  • Created a custom snow track at Radius Drive’s Firehorse Ranch in Crested Butte, Colorado

  • Secured all production equipment needs for a 4-day shoot

  • Coordinated with SAG to ensure compliance with all COVID Safety protocols for crew

  • Staffing of production team onsite to assist with logistics

  • Provided all fleet maintenance onsite

Rebelle Rally Training for Infiniti

Overview

Infiniti was participating for the first time in the all-women off-road navigation rally - the Rebelle Rally - with the award-winning QX80 SUV that was modified to tackle the challenge.  Two veteran automotive journalists were selected to form the Team Wander Women.  And, while both have extensive driving experience, Infiniti wanted to ensure they were fully prepared. The team finished in the top 10 for rookies. 

Our Involvement

  • Provided specialized driver and technique training to the Infiniti team over the course of two days on sand dunes and rocky terrain conditions in Dumont Dunes in the Mojave Desert


Kia Telluride Press Launch

Overview

Kia sought a unique natural environment to highlight the new Telluride off-road capabilities to members of the press.  Throughout the course of a week, small groups of the media were invited to take part in exciting, yet challenging drives throughout the Geronimo Oaks game preserve near San Antonio, Texas.

Our Involvement

  • Design and build of an offroad capabilities course with natural obstacles

  • Routing of a 2-mile natural terrain drive

  • Development of drive curriculum and staffing of drivers and program managers


Robb Report California Coastal Drive

Overview

Created to bring the pages of Robb Report to life through extraordinary experiences, RR1 members are provided opportunities to exclusive experiences with other like-minded tastemakers. Now in its 3rd year, the California Coastal is a road rally that takes guests on a picturesque journey that includes stunning vistas, unforgettable pit stops and luxury dining experiences along the California Coast.

Our Involvement

  • Overall program management including routing, logistics, and fleet management

  • Staffing of all drivers, fleet support staff and program managers

  • Provide onsite technician and vehicle maintenance equipment

  • Development of dynamic drive routes to accommodate set times for exclusive experiences along the way

Maserati Winter Drive Program

Overview

Maserati wanted to showcase the dynamic capabilities of its vehicles in adverse driving conditions. Invited guests of Maserati - comprised of customers and members of the media - were able to drive the Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte on a custom-made snow track to learn dynamic safety skills at Radius Drive’s exclusive Firehorse Ranch in Crested Butte, Colorado.

Cadillac Escalade Dealer Training

Overview

Cadillac Dealer Training Program was created to provide extensive, hands-on training for the Escalade to dealership personnel throughout the country. The program visited six cities across the country for half-day training sessions.  Over the course of two months, a total of 12 training sessions were held training more than 2,400 people.

Our Involvement

  • Development and creation of curriculum including feature/function comparison with competitive models

  • Development and design of street drive course and exercise recommendation in conjunction with lead Cadillac engineers to appropriately demonstrate vehicle features

  • Sourced and secured all permits and contacts for training locations including staging areas

  • Fleet management of 50 vehicles

  • Staffing of drivers, hospitality, and event producers

  • Management and administration of participant enrollment and completion reporting

Nissan GT Academy US Finals

Overview

Nissan and Sony partnered on a “virtual-to-reality” contest that offered racers from PlayStation®3 driving simulator Gran Turismo®6  the opportunity to transition for the virtual racing world to a real-life track with the ultimate prize being a place on the International Nissan Race Team.  Radius was tasked with creating the track evaluation program for the US Finals for the 20 selected contestants. 

Our Involvement

  • Development of performance driving competition criteria

  • Securing and designing the course 

  • Establishing safety protocols and evaluation criteria for the drivers

  • Providing instruction prior to competition

  • Served as competition judges and consulted with show hosts in determining winners

Cadillac ELR Dealer Training

Overview

Cadillac Training wanted a specific training drive module developed to highlight the vehicle attributes and drive capabilities of their luxury electric vehicle – the Cadillac ELR – to train dealer personnel on both the features/functions of the vehicle, as well their hybrid engine technology.

Our Involvement

  • Sourced all competitive vehicles 

  • Developed drive course design and worked with EV engineering team to ensure it appropriately demonstrated vehicle highlights and capabilities

  • Identified event locations and secured all permits for training locations and staging areas

  • Managed and executed program set-up, event, and tear down

  • Staffing of pro drivers, hospitality, and event producers

  • Handled all aspects of fleet management

Pirelli World Challenge Race Series

Overview

Consumer activation at the Pirelli World Challenge Race Series included a large onsite display, iRacing Simulators, guided tours of the Paddock and a Hot Lap program for VIP customers. The invite-only VIP event hosted more than 2,400 people at 24 event days annually in addition to providing the Official Pace Car for the series.  

Our Involvement

  • Professional drive staff to provide race car walk-around presentations

  • Moderators to conduct Paddock Tours and Corral Dynamics Briefings

  • Professional drivers to lead safety briefings and accompany customers on their track laps

  • Driving instruction to media for track laps

  • Driver for Official Pace Car (Don Harple)

Audi Winter Driving Experience

Overview

To showcase the launch of the Audi Q3 and Audi S3, Audi launched a Winter Driving Experience activation to complement its sponsorship of the US Ski Team at the FIS World Skiing Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek.  The 10-day event hosted more than 1,000 people, providing participants the opportunity to experience the dynamic driving features on both a custom ice course and a parcours course offering multiple off-road obstacles. 

Our Involvement

  • Design and construction of two outdoor winter courses - a Q3 Parcours Course and a S3 Ice Drive Course

  • Procurement of sites and permits

  • Static display design and construction

  • Development of all programming - drive design, curriculum, safety protocols, data capture, and reporting

  • Professional drivers for course instruction

  • Staffing for hospitality

  • Fleet management of 16 pre-production vehicles

Cadillac V Series Launch Tour

Overview

Cadillac V Launch Tour was created to provide in-depth, high-performance training for the Cadillac CTS V and ATS V to dealership personnel and allow select consumers to experience the vehicles first-hand on a track. The program included full-day sessions held at four racetracks over the course of two months and introduced more than 850 dealer personnel and 200 consumers to the new vehicles. 

Our Involvement

  • Development and creation of all curriculum including feature/function comparison with competitive models

  • Procurement of all competitive models

  • Development and design of classroom and track curriculum in conjunction with lead Cadillac engineers to appropriately demonstrate vehicle features

  • Fleet management and technical support of 50 vehicles

  • Staffing of professional drivers, hospitality and event producers

  • Management and administration of participant enrollment and post-program reporting


Infiniti 30 year anniversary.png

Inifiniti 30-year Anniversary Press Event

Overview

In honor of their 30 year Anniversary, Infiniti spent almost two weeks out in the New Mexican desert at Spaceport America, celebrating three decades of revolutionary World’s First Technologies and the technologies of the future.  Members of the media were invited to attend this historic event to drive the brand’s full line-up of vehicles in various settings - a street drive course, a dynamics course, a rallycross course, and a custom-built, off-road terrain challenge course. Over the course of 12 days, 150 journalists attended the event.

Our Involvement

  • Designed and constructed all drive courses with safety protocols

  • Provided drive instruction to participants

  • Staffing for the event including hospitality, product specialists, drivers, and technicians

  • All event management prior, during, and after the event
